Arriving in a small Italian village, ostensibly to restore a fresco painting in a local church, Stefano uncovers some gruesome truths about the origins of the painting. The rumor sweeping the village that the depictions of murder and torture in the fresco were painted directly from real events takes an intriguing twist when a string of locals are murdered in mysterious circumstances.
