When the residents of a small-town realize they are in grave danger due to a spate of serial-killings, a group of teenagers decide to take the law into their own hands and hunt down the perpetrator. Ten years prior to these slayings, a young man named Devon was killed in a style that resembles the current outbreak of violence, leading to many suspicious whisperings breaking out, and the heroic teen's believing Devon may still be alive. Trying to solve two intertwined mysteries results in a frenetic race to the finale of the movie, with a genuinely surprising twist in the tale keeping viewers guessing right up to the bloody end.

Diane (Elizabeth North) cannot recover from the death of her sister, and plots to use a book of magic to resurrect her. In the process, she accidentally kills a bystander, then decides to use the spell to bring him back to life. The spell does not work, however, so Diane and her husband Lane (Jeff Dyland Graham) proceed to chop up the corpse and plan to toss it in a nearby bay. This gory prequel is loosely based on the case of the DeFeo murders, which took place in the famed house in Ocean Avenue before the Lutz's, whose tale was told in THE AMITYVILLE HORROR, moved in.
