A team of scientists is assigned to a secret government research project to experiment with the possibility of invisibility. When they find that one of their formulas works on animals, Dr. Sebastian Caine (Kevin Bacon) violates the rules of the project and tries it on himself. This boxed set contains the SLEEPAWAY CAMP trilogy, a series that began with a movie that has unfairly been lumped in with 1980s slasher movies like FRIDAY THE 13TH and others of its ilk. However, SLEEPAWAY CAMP is truly the work of a twisted mind and largely devoid of the two staples of the genre, gratuitous nudity and gore, eschewing them in favor of hints of incest, transsexuality, and homoeroticism, creating a far more disturbing atmosphere. Its sequels, however, are a different story.
