A boorish doctor who has devised a way to bring the dead back to life gets into a car accident and kills his beautiful fiancee; he takes her severed head back to the lab with him and keeps it alive in a tray of serum. She is unhappy with the situation and begs him to let her die, but he embarks upon a search for the perfect body for his amour, visiting strip clubs and streetwalkers and scouring the city. Meanwhile, the fiancee discovers that a side effect of her current status is telepathy, and she begins to communicate with the doctor's mistake, which is held captive in a locked room off the lab. At first it seems that crackheads Hector and Derena have reached rock bottom. Willing to break the law by stealing drugs and planning to sell them, the two addicts head to their friend Merl`s abandoned house in the woods. All alone, they think they are safe to cook up a major batch of crystal meth that will fill their wallets for months. What they don`t know, however, may kill them, as they face the fact that they may not be alone in the woods, after all. Stuck in the cabin with only their drugs to depend on, the unfortunate pair face many hours of terror, never knowing whether their fears are based in reality or in paranoid fantasy.

This jarring, paranoia-inflected tale offers a gruesome meditation on the harrowing life of a murder suspect. Sean Veil's (Lee Evans) tenuous hold on reality is let slip when he becomes obsessed with documenting his life. A loner who would be hard pressed to provide an alibi for any task he carried out, Veil straps cameras all around his person in order to provide any evidence the police may need regarding his activities. As the police hunt hots up, and the finger of fate seems to indicate that Veil is the strongest suspect in the case, he slips further into insanity. The situation gets markedly worse when one of his fastidiously cataloged video tapes appears to go missing. One of Lugosi's best films from the classic era of horror.THE CORPSE VANISHES: Bela Lugosi is the evil Dr. Lorenz, a man who has invented a poisoned flower corsage to use on unsuspecting young brides to put them in zombie-like state, abduct them, steal their blood and inject it into his aging wife to keep her young forever. Dr. Lorenz' actions are headed off at the pass by Pat Hunter, an intelligent and beautiful reporter who knows what the sinister man is up to. Will she be his next victim?SCARED TO DEATH: The legendary Bela Lugosi stars in this sub B horror film about a woman who narrates the story of her own death from the morgue. Of interest chiefly because it is only one of two color films Lugosi appeared in, SCARED TO DEATH nonetheless features an excellent performance from its star, and laughable performances by the rest of the cast.
